</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Here are some of my favorites from the month of November!</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />
</div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><u><b>Makeup</b></u></div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zBXjAhq4BQw/Ttf-xRIcKeI/AAAAAAAAEjY/ESH0zczOI3c/s1600/highlight_concealer.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zBXjAhq4BQw/Ttf-xRIcKeI/AAAAAAAAEjY/ESH0zczOI3c/s320/highlight_concealer.jpg" width="163" /></a><span style="font-size: small;"><br />
<a href="http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/eyes/concealers_and_primers/under_eye_concealer_and_highlighter">e.l.f. Studio Under Eye Concealer & Highlighter in Light/Fair</a>. <br />
For $3 this stuff is great! I use the highlighter side on eyes/dark circles and the concealer side under my brows to make them look sharp and clean. Both are super blendable. Not the BEST coverage in the world, but it works well for what I use it for! I blend the highlighter side with my finger and the concealer side with a concealer brush. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QRbQaUtMz5g/TtkCF3V85bI/AAAAAAAAEjg/u5Kd9V9N-a8/s1600/UD+24-7+pencil.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-QRbQaUtMz5g/TtkCF3V85bI/AAAAAAAAEjg/u5Kd9V9N-a8/s1600/UD+24-7+pencil.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><a href="http://www.urbandecay.com/24-7-glide-on-eye-pencil/122,default,pd.html?dwvar_122_color=1999247&start=4&q=247EyePencil"> Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Zero</a></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;">I use this baby every single day. Smoothest, blackest, longest-lasting pencil I've ever used. It takes waterproof eye makeup remover to get it off! That might bother some people, but for me it's worth it to not have my eye liner smear. A little pricey at $18 bucks a pop, but, again, worth it!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Yl57-02kC3c/TtkHMikZJ0I/AAAAAAAAEjo/J3mfemYHV1g/s1600/nyx+natural.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Yl57-02kC3c/TtkHMikZJ0I/AAAAAAAAEjo/J3mfemYHV1g/s1600/nyx+natural.jpg" /></a></div><div style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><a href="http://www.cherryculture.com/product.php?productid=16203#">NYX Powder Blush in Natural $4.50</a></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;">I got this (and 2 other blushes) from a HauteLook sale back in October. I've used it for a little over a month now and I seem to reach for it more often than not. It's matte, which I prefer, and it's super pigmented so a little goes a long way. I'm pretty fair skinned (NW20) so this adds just a nice flush to my cheeks without being super dramatic. It's the perfect everyday color! </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br />
</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><u><b><span style="font-size: small;">Nails</span></b></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;">So I have to admit that I only polished my nails 3 times this month. I've been slacking in the department quite a bit lately, BUT I DID purchase an amazing polish in November! Does that count? It'll have to :)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-os_u_KTm3O0/TtkNiKPdZkI/AAAAAAAAEjw/yiwhjnJ7jCs/s1600/Wallis.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-os_u_KTm3O0/TtkNiKPdZkI/AAAAAAAAEjw/yiwhjnJ7jCs/s320/Wallis.jpg" width="208" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><a href="http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod2420233#sku2233543">butter LONDON in Wallis $14</a></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;">My first bL polish yay! I swatched this on a finger (along with 4 other colors on different fingers) and let my husband decide on what color he liked. He picked Zoya Jules (which you saw in my last NOTD), but Wallis will be my next NOTD! So you can stay tuned for that :)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><u><b><span style="font-size: small;">Hair</span></b></u></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3ryVLnW7Bm8/TtkufU3AOUI/AAAAAAAAEj4/ZrXBjBEnlKM/s1600/john+frieda+3+day+straight.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3ryVLnW7Bm8/TtkufU3AOUI/AAAAAAAAEj4/ZrXBjBEnlKM/s1600/john+frieda+3+day+straight.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"> <a href="http://www.drugstore.com/john-frieda-frizz-ease-3-day-straight-semi-permanent-styling-spray/qxp329704?catid=183510&fromsrch=john+freda">John Frieda Frizz-Ease 3 Day Straight Spray </a></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;">(Right now it's $7.99 with a $2 off coupon from Drugstore.com!)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;">I bought this from Target this summer and stuffed it in a drawer and forgot about it (whoops!) now I won't straighten my hair without it! Wow it makes such a difference! My hair feels silky, looks shiny and no frizz! And for me it lasted 3 days! I have to use a dry shampoo on the 2nd and 3rd day, but my hair stays straight. The directions say to spray this onto damp hair, blow dry it and then straighten, but I don't do all that. I take a shower the night before and put Chi Silk Infusion on my wet hair and go to bed. When I wake up it's dry (and crazy looking). I separate my hair into sections and spray and flat iron as I go. That seems to work just fine for me. It makes my hair smell good too! </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; font-family: Verdana,sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span style="font-size: small;"><br />

Jules is a greyish-beigey-gold. A must-see in real life to really take in it's true beauty. I tried to get a good shot of all the multicolored glitter in the last shot, but my camera can't capture it. I see pinks, green and golds. It almost takes on a bronze...this one is really hard to explain!<br />
<br />
Trust me...Jules is pretty! A lot prettier in real life. And really nice for this time of year.</div>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05417663232712347097noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7539909776470136465.post-40815904241175316032011-11-22T17:05:00.000-05:002011-11-22T17:05:27.959-05:00About me Tag!<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #0c343d;">So here's something a little different...I wasn't tagged but I thought it would be fun to do! </span></div><div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">-Careers in Mind: I hated this question as a kid "what do you want to be when you grow up?" I had no idea! So I never perused anything and ended up a receptionist. Then right before I turned 30 I had a semi crisis and thought I needed to be "something" so I went to beauty school. I took Esthetics and Manicuring and got my license in both. Am I happy ever after working in the beauty industry that I worked so hard to be apart of? Well...I'm a receptionist again. Does that answer your question? I blame the economy. People aren't paying for luxuries anymore. </span><br />
</div><div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">-Where do you want to live?: Well I never pictured myself living in Ohio...but here I am. Newburyport, MA was my favorite place to live, but it's CRAZY expensive to live in New England. Clearwater Beach, Florida is nice (when it's not spring break)...I'd live there and take MY vacation when the college kids are there.</span></div><div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span"><br />

</span></div><div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">-Soul Mates: No. This planet is too big and there are SO many people on it. The thought of there being ONE person out there for you is ridiculous.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;"><br />
</span></div><div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: left;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #444444;">-Heaven: Yes.</span><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hx1v7JnrrAM/TrvblVax2FI/AAAAAAAAEiM/LrQ1sfXIwKo/s1600/31+day+challenge.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hx1v7JnrrAM/TrvblVax2FI/AAAAAAAAEiM/LrQ1sfXIwKo/s640/31+day+challenge.png" width="400" /></a></div><br />
But with how often I paint my nails it'll be more like the 31 WEEK challenge. I've seen some other gals doing it and it looks fun! It will give me a chance to use some never-touched polishes that I have stashed in the back of drawers. Lol we'll see how it goes...I'm known for starting things all gung-ho like and then never finishing them. And some of these sound kinda crazy. Galaxies? The supernatural? Ooooh boy.<br />
<br />
By the way...I got this list from Never Unpolished! Check out her <a href="http://www.never-unpolished.com/search/label/31%20day%20challenge">31 day challenge</a>!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05417663232712347097noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7539909776470136465.post-4186235886663541032011-11-07T20:54:00.001-05:002011-11-07T20:55:19.426-05:00NOTD: Polka dots!<div style="margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HqhYWdvq9kM/TriKKMqCCvI/AAAAAAAAEhs/8DvWmm0ThwA/s1600/2011-11-07.jpg"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HqhYWdvq9kM/TriKKMqCCvI/AAAAAAAAEhs/8DvWmm0ThwA/s400/2011-11-07.jpg" /></a> </div><div style="text-align: center;">Zoya Pasha</div><br />

This is 2 coats with base and top coat. I let the first coat dry before adding the second and that seemed to help with the sheerness that I've read other people complain about. 2 coats made it nice and opaque for me. Nice for fall with all the gold glitter...gives it kind of a bronzey glow!<br />
<br />
Hope all my readers out there are doing well!! I've missed y'all!<br />

<br />
Ok so here's the next NOTD. Two Color Club polishes layered to make this amazing, sparkly, duochromey, deliciousness! Wild and Willing is the orangey, pink polish and With Abandon is the black polish with antique-gold glitter. Together it creates this bronzy, pink that flashes bright green! It's truly awesome!!<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Here's a layered mani I did with OPI Lincoln Park After Dark with Pure Ice Heart Beaker over it. Because the whole idea was quit my full time job to peruse a career in the beauty industry; I'm doing just that and my last day at my full time job is this Friday! I'm all kinds of emotions! </div><div style="text-align: center;">Sinful Colors Bali Mist. Purchased from Meijer for $1.88. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Well it's pretty, but I can tell you that this didn't last more than a couple hours on my nails. Normally I paint my nails and it'll last a good 2-3 days before I get sick of it ad take if off...this one? Oh my. The formula is so weird! Super goopy but sheer. It took 5 coats and I could still see VNL in some of my nails. I had bubbles and omg it WOULD NOT dry. Which is why I had to take it off. By the end of the night my nails were TORE UP! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">With that being said I think this is more of a one coat layering color. Layered on top of black or even silver would probably look really pretty since it has some duochromeyness. Looks metallicy pink and flashes green and purple. Even has some pink shimmer! I wanted to love this, I mean in the bottle....SCHA-WING! But on my nails? Bleh.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">This is the second Sinful Colors polish I've tried and that one was pretty "meh" too. And I have more that I haven't tried on my nails...are they all like this?</div>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05417663232712347097noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7539909776470136465.post-81015545488526319372010-10-01T09:52:00.000-04:002010-10-01T09:52:00.138-04:00NOTD: China Glaze IDK & TMI<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TKTs69_sXhI/AAAAAAAAEFM/7IJ37ZV1u6k/s1600/2010-09-30.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TKTs69_sXhI/AAAAAAAAEFM/7IJ37ZV1u6k/s400/2010-09-30.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Click to enlarge</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;">As promised here's the comparison of OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous to the dark gray polish (with no name) from the L.A. Colors Metallic Polish 4 pack from <a href="http://jenileesbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/review-and-swatches-la-colors-metallic.html">my last post</a>. </div><div style="text-align: center;">As you can see they're reeeeeeeally similar! The only noticeable difference is the OPI has more multicolored glitter and the L.A. Colors has just silver glitter. Also the L.A. Colors has a darker base...it's more of a blackened charcoal and the OPI is just a dark gray. Both great applications (2 coats), formula and dry time. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">If I had to choose one, I honestly don't know which one I'd choose! I really want to mix them together. I love the dark base of the L.A.C. and the multi-glitter from the OPI. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">The L.A.C. polish was purchased as a 4 pack from my local CVS, again see <a href="http://jenileesbeautyblog.blogspot.com/2010/09/review-and-swatches-la-colors-metallic.html">my last post</a> about those polishes. The OPI polish was purchased at Ulta and is part of the Swiss collection. </div>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05417663232712347097noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7539909776470136465.post-47065136849287289712010-09-15T17:01:00.000-04:002010-09-15T17:01:20.928-04:00Review and Swatches: L.A. Colors Metallic Polish Series<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TJEu6m1Ef1I/AAAAAAAAEDM/rZ7I7_iTB4M/s1600/2010-09-15.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TJEu6m1Ef1I/AAAAAAAAEDM/rZ7I7_iTB4M/s400/2010-09-15.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Click to enlarge</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I picked up this 4 pack at my local CVS sometime last week and I'm so impressed with them I decided to do a blogpost!</div><div style="text-align: center;">The first time I saw them I just walked right by, but after seeing the price, I decided to snatch them up. I'm on a no polish budget right now, but for $2.99 I couldn't pass it up. You can't even get one bottle for $2.99, let alone 4!</div><div style="text-align: center;">So on to the review: they're awesome! I wasn't expecting too much, because if you break it down it's like .75 cents a bottle right? But seriously...I was amazed at the pigmentation of them. The only downside I see from these is that they don't have names. I hate when they don't have names! But everything else about these are great! They're not runny or streaky, they just glide right on. The teal one...did you see it? It's amazing, right? ONE coat!! The rest needed two coats, but that's ok by me! It's when I get into 4-5 coats, I start getting annoyed.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Are you still reading this? Why haven't you left to run out to your CVS to buy these? GO GO GO! :)</div><div style="text-align: center;">In case you need more convincing I'll give you more details:</div><div style="text-align: center;">Teal: WOW, my favorite of the group, goes on opaque with 1 coat, super rich teal color with silver metallic glitter.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Purple: Dark purple with blue and purple glitter. Super glittery, but a little sheer. Needs 2 coats.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Pink: Raspberry pink with lots of pink and blue glitter. Needs 2 coats.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Gray: Blackened gray with silver metallic glitter. Needs 2 coats.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Also, I do believe I've found a dupe for OPI Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous! Stay tuned for a comparison!! </div>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05417663232712347097noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7539909776470136465.post-51829370992553472782010-09-10T16:06:00.001-04:002010-09-10T16:09:14.685-04:00NOTD: Orly Fantasea<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TIqMwXPZDPI/AAAAAAAAECQ/Hl6oKJa4NGA/s1600/orly-fantasea.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TIqMwXPZDPI/AAAAAAAAECQ/Hl6oKJa4NGA/s400/orly-fantasea.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Click to enlarge</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I think it's safe to say that I've redeemed myself from the last NOTD! This is a flipping awesome polish. Smooth application and opaque in 2-3 coats. It actually surprised me. It looks sheer when you first open it, but when I put it on, it had good coverage. Obviously I had VNL (Visable Nail Line) with the first coat, but with the 2nd coat it was completely opaque. I added 1 more coat for good measure :) This has a lilacy purple base with rose gold duochrome sparkles! </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I do believe this just made my top 10! And I'm starting to really LOVE Orly! Anyone try their base/top coats?</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I purchased this from my local Sally's for around $3.</div>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05417663232712347097noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7539909776470136465.post-75788349945031713822010-09-08T15:33:00.001-04:002010-09-10T16:12:27.509-04:00NOTD: OPI DS Jewel<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TIqRD2C6IjI/AAAAAAAAECY/pGtW_H2v3V0/s1600/OPI-DS+Jewel.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TIqRD2C6IjI/AAAAAAAAECY/pGtW_H2v3V0/s400/OPI-DS+Jewel.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Meh. I'm not really sure what it is about this polish, but I'm not "wowed". I went to Ulta this weekend and picked this up for $12.50. That's the most I've ever spent on a polish. This is also my first Designer Series polish. For $12.50 I feel like I should be blown away and I'm just...not. The color in the bottle is what made me get it...it looks like a burgundy base with gold duochrome and pink glitter. On my nails it looks like I stuck my hand in chocolate :( Maybe it's just my coloring...I dunno. I'm not impressed. I WANT to love it. I just can't. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">What do you guys think? </div>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05417663232712347097noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7539909776470136465.post-31510664295694481172010-09-07T16:46:00.001-04:002010-09-10T16:13:50.442-04:00NOTD: Orly Oh Cabana Boy<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TIqRa--pfPI/AAAAAAAAECg/ve6BAYVu-HY/s1600/Orly-Oh+Cabana+Boy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_tDHPuNeXPEE/TIqRa--pfPI/AAAAAAAAECg/ve6BAYVu-HY/s400/Orly-Oh+Cabana+Boy.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">Orly Oh Cabana Boy is a super bright pink with a blue-ish-purple flash. Applies pretty thin so it takes 3-4 coats to get it opaque. Also dries like a neon so you'll need a top coat to make it look glossy. It looks awesome on toes!</div>Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05417663232712347097noreply@blogger.com2
